Your First Visit
On your first visit we conduct a thorough history and examination. All of this takes time, so we ask that you completely fill out your paperwork prior to your first visit. If you cannot complete the paperwork online, please arrive 15 minutes early.
Your assessment will focus on your area of concern as well as your overall state of your health. After the doctor diagnoses your condition, a discussion of treatment options and approaches follows, culminating with your first treatment if appropriate.
Please plan to spend an hour for your first visit. Subsequent visits range from 15-30 minutes.
Don’t be afraid to ask questions. We are friendly, very family oriented, and are excited to help you and your family.

Do I need a referral?
No. Chiropractors are Primary Healthcare Providers; however some private benefit plans may require one. Please check with your employer.
Is chiropractic safe during pregnancy?
Anytime is a good time to improve our health. Pregnant mothers may find that chiropractic adjustments improve their pregnancy and make delivery easier for themselves and their baby. Adjusting methods are always adapted to a patient’s size, weight, age, and condition of health.
Does OHIP cover chiropractic?
No. OHIP did cover part of chiropractic until 2004 when the liberal government cancelled it.
I’ve heard that once I start seeing a chiropractor, I’ll have to continue for the rest of my life. Is this true?
You may have heard the notion that once you go to a chiropractor you have to keep going back. Before we answer that question, ask yourself how many times you have visited a dentist. Like most people, you’ve probably gone dozens of times. Why? Quite simply, to prevent your teeth from getting bad and to maintain their health.
Once chiropractic care eliminates your pain and rehabilitates the injured tissues we do recommend that you maintain a schedule of periodic spinal checkups for prevention & maintenance. Like your dentist and like many of the medical experts are now recognizing, prevention is the key to reducing recurrences of existing health conditions and minimizing new injuries in the future. So the answer is yes, we want you to keep coming back, but just periodically.
Periodic chiropractic care minimizes spinal and nerve stresses, reduces recurrences of old injuries, prevents new injuries from developing, and minimizes degenerative processes, which enhances overall health and wellness.
How does chiropractic help with menstrual or bowel pain?
Adjustments to certain areas of the back that supply nerves to the uterus can help minimize menstrual discomfort. As with menstrual, specific adjustments also help bowel function.
Are chiropractic services expensive?
Doctors of chiropractic provide effective, low-cost health care for a wide range of conditions. If an injury is work-related, then WSIB will cover costs for chiropractic care. If an injury is due to a car accident, then the car insurance company will cover the costs for chiropractic care.
How does chiropractic help with headaches?
Chiropractic adjustments help many types of headaches by restoring function to the upper neck and reducing inflammation
